Annual General Report
September 2021 - September 2022

Activities:

PCHOUM BEN Ceremony on Saturday 25th September 2021 at Amaravati Buddhist Monastery. Funds raised during Bang Skaul Ceremony were donated directly to the temple at the end of the Ceremony. A special pray in respect of Mr Tann Nam who passed away on 17th September 2021 at the age of 84.

Due to COVID Restrictions, there were 45 attenders of our community’s members allowed and an attendance of H.E. Kan Paridh, Ambassador to the UK and spouse including two personnel from the Royal Embassy of Cambodia.

WINTER GATHERING PARTY on Saturday 4th December 2021 at the VLC Community Centre from 6pm-11pm.

CAMBODIAN NEW YEAR Celebration on Saturday 16th April 2022

  • Ceremony opening and greeting speech by Mrs Sobopha Owen
  • Introduction attendance of Phramaha Bathsakorn Pyobhaso (from Buddhapadipa Buddhist temple, Wimbledon) and two Monks for religious ceremony.
  • Introduction the new Cambodian Ambassador to the UK, H.E. Kan Paridh.
  • 5 minutes Greeting Speech by H.E. Kan Paridh Ambassador to the community’s members and guests.
  • The Buddhist Ceremony Chanting blessing leaded by Phramaha Bathsakorn Pyobhaso, two monks, H.E. Kan Paridh, Mr Pen Makara: requesting the Three Refuges, Five Precepts and Bang Skaul.
  • The community’s members and guests.
  • Funds raised from Bang Skaul were donated to the Monks directly at the end of Ceremony.
  • Gifts Monks packs donated from the Royal Embassy of Cambodia and community’s members.
  • Food Alms food offering to Monks and buffet lunch to the guests and the community.
  • Disco Dancing Music leaded by Mr Sorel Nou, operated by Mr Dennis Radsky-Fisher for Cambodian Ramvong until 10.30pm.
    We had an enjoyable full day of New Year Celebration.

  • Food catering provider : Mrs Sunami Nou, Mrs Chan Chea, Miss Pranee Nou, Mrs Mien Tan, Mr Usaly Tan, Mrs Dany Man, Ms Pisey Ith, Mrs Rithy Keo Pich. The Royal Embassy of Cambodia and the community members.

Clear-up Team after the Party:

  • Mrs Sobopha Owen Mr Sinang Chrea, Mr and Mrs Sorel, Nami Nou, Miss Pranee Nou, Mr Pierre Palluet, Mr Dennis Radsky-Fisher, Mrs Nory Radsky-fisher, Mr Saroeuy Long (goods transportation).

We are honoured by the number of guests, including:

  • Abbott Phramaha Bathsakorn Pyobhaso and monks from Buddhapadipa Buddhist temple Wimbledon.
  • The Royal Embassy of Cambodia to the UK, and personnel, Dr Phalla Sambath, the Nous family, representative of Mr and Mrs Mien Tan and family.
  • Community’s members and families who have travelled near and far from around the UK to join the event.

Special Recognitions:

All generous donations on the day of each event are recorded (in Casunik Bookkeeping Records) with thanks
